FAQ'S

Which couples do you work well with?

We LOVE working with sweethearts of all types of backgrounds, beliefs and sexes. To us its all about celebrating your super epic love story.

Talking honestly, our couples tend to fall into the ‘I just want to get hitched, and I trust you with all the dets’ or the ‘I’m totally invested in throwing the best day surrounded by my family and close friends’.

Do you have a minimum spend?

We don’t have a minimum spend. Some of our couples only need wedding party flowers and tend to spend £300-£700 where as others want all the floral bells and whistles and tend to spend between £1500-£4500 on their wedding flowers with us.

How far do you travel?

As unhelpful as it might be we don't have a set area that we stick to. We're happy to travel as your wedding florist to your chosen wedding venue in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire or beyond. Please note however that the only area that we don't take on weddings is London.

How far in advance of our wedding date should I be talking to you?

You can secure your date in our diary up to 2 years before. We recommend meeting for an in depth chat 1 year before where we can talk about colours, flowers, styles and designs, this is also when you will get a bespoke quotation as well.

Can you make flowers for animal guests?

I thought you'd never ask! YES! 100%. In the past we've created floral dog collars, Alpaca flower crowns and horse headpieces and garlands. *Cue cute animal photos.....

How do you actively reduce your impact on the environment?

I’m really conscientious of the impact my work has on the world. I’m by no means a saint but I try where I can. I don’t use any floral foam which massively cuts out harmful micro plastics and we wrap with materials like paper and pretty ribbons that can be recycled and re used. I work hard to plan travel time to a minimum and use the most effective routes. I buy British flowers where I can but also believe in trade before aid so also support amazing growers around the world.

I'm Helen, owner of Bits and Buds florist in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. I've been playing this flowery game for over a decade now and love love love designing and making flowers for you. I believe that flowers and plants convey a message and make people feel good, cared for and valued, they're magical!

I really enjoy seeing the quiet excitement and anticipation on my couples faces when we meet for consultations. I love hearing about your plans and unique details from wearing cool starry capes and gold eyeshadow to making homemade limoncello in teeny bottles for favours.

On the day my favourite part is delivering your bridal bouquet and maids bouquets to a room bustling with energy and champagne! Seeing your maids in their dressing gowns and exchanging knowing smiles with MUA's and photographers for the day ahead and being a small part of something magical then sneaking out un noticed like little flower imps driving away into the noon day sun.

Ok I know that sounds a bit like a Disney fairy-tale but honestly there's always such a fantastic camaraderie between me and my flower gals and your other suppliers when we're on site and setting up. The glamour of the day is 100% all about you and celebrating your love story with all the gorgeous details; we're just there to sneak in and do our flower thing, sweep up and leave like we were never there and I wouldn't have it any other way.
