Sympathy flowers are of the utmost importance to me and at Bits and Buds we create our floral tributes with

 care, respect, affection and sensitivity. 

I understand the love that they are made to convey and the comfort they can offer to family and friends during incredibly emotive times. To be trusted with your final gift to an individual who played an important part in your life is always humbling and taken seriously.

Our eco credentials

Bits and Buds is a no floral foam florist.

We don't use floral foam  because it contains micro plastics, toxic chemicals and carcinogens. We try our hardest to reduce the use of single use trays and plastic tapes too. We believe funeral flowers shouldn't leave an eternal negative trace on our world. They should gently fade and sometimes even nourish the earth to feed continued life in our environment.

We use wooden boards, re usable wire frames, twine, moss and biodegradable alternatives making all our designs suitable for green burial sites and safe for the wildlife that roam there.

We make it very easy to choose the right flowers. I invite you to have a chat with me about what you'd like and look at some images of our work together either in person at the shop in Leighton Buzzard or over the phone.

It's always lovely to learn a little about your loved one, hear about their hobbies, favorite flowers or be let in on a family story or 2 that gives me a snapshot of their personality. I often think of them as I take my time to make their tributes meaning they are always personal with attention to detail.

Sympathy flowers and tributes are completely individual and there is no right or wrong but here are some of the most popular options our families choose.

A Double Ended Spray as a main tribute from Family

available in a range of sizes starting from around 3 feet in length | These arrangements can be made in colours to suit you and up to 6 feet in length. They sit on top of the casket and can be seen from all sides easily.

Hearts

Our hearts have proven to be very popular as a gentle and heartfelt tribute from family members. They are full of texture and detail and the shape is symbolic for many.

Wreaths

 Wreaths represent the circle of life and the eternity of memory. They are a traditional and timeless design suitable for a more understated character. 

Tied Sheafs

These are ideal for a less formal and more relaxed feel. They are a flat bouquet designed to lay atop or alongside the casket. They are suitable from family and also make an ideal gift from friends attending the funeral. They can easily be taken home or gifted to a hospice following the service with out feeling too funereal too.

All our designs are suitable for green burial sites and do not contain any plastics and minimal metal/wires where possible.
